as if
I needed
breath
it
came to me
invisible
as water

burden-heavy
disconsolate
the way
ink
is
transparent
vivid
as a bruise

grace
given
to stones

And Invocation Against Those Who War on Womyn and Children

WhiteFeather

Celebrate the womyn and the children warriors
celebrate so that
we shall not lose them from our lives
they should never be mistreated

Let those who have done so suffer
all their happiness die
until justice has been done upon them
and they finally understand what they have wrought

May they weep
until their eyes hold no more tears
may they be found out
and forsaken

May they sleep deserted
so that in all the rest of their nights on earth
intimacy coes not comfort them
and may their time be long

May they be friendless when they die
the wide world abandon them
may they feel the stab of guilt, remorse and retribution
in the end

May all the knowledge
they have carefully compiled
take up arms and war against them
may their songs perish in their throats

May they never build anything again
their creativity wither
may they laugh their last
and may their victims have the last laugh

Of paramount importance
may they never be able
to lie, manipulate, coerce, control, dominate, beat, rape, kill
another womyn or child

And this God they seem to be seeking
may she always forsake them
leave them impotent
helpless, passive and frail

May they fear the survivors
know we are more powerful
than they ever imagined
now wise to their game

May they be imprisoned
when all the womyn and children they have damaged
oppressed no longer
rise up and join hearts against them

May they understand how mistreatment feels
acknowledge their crimes
in public
with everyone who knows them watching

May they create justice from their deeds
shoulder responsibility
announce it to the people
as we stand and listen with unbowed heads

then, and only then
may we join hands
lift each other in compassion
and walk forward as equals
